Newly released on-demand therapy app LARKR today announced a new collaboration with teen social media influencers Joey Birlem and Charles Gitnick to help bring greater awareness and provide a real-life solution to the mental health issues faced by many teenagers and adolescents today. Every week for the rest of the year, Joey and Charles will film a new video and publish it on both of their YouTube channels. Each weekly clip addresses one key mental health issue faced by their fanbase of mostly teens, one of the nation’s most at-risk demographics. The pair recently launched the first video of the series, which addresses depression and has already received over 50,000 views and 8,000 likes. The second video, uploaded this week, deals with the topic of bullying. In just a few days, it has already received nearly 40,000 views and 5,000 likes.
Upcoming episodes plan to take on topics such as anxiety, family issues, self-harm, suicide, and even the growing problem of teens who withdraw into online channels and feel an inflated connection to social media celebrities, such as Joey and Charles, while disconnecting from existing or potential relationships in the outside world.
